We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to report directly to the Finance Director. An enthusiastic, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and ideally with previous media experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial reporting and controls for GT. You will be an organised individual who is not afraid to challenge convention and always on the lookout for new ways of doing things. An exceptional people manager, you will also have responsibility for the management and development of a team of two.

This is a very broad role with key responsibilities including:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including detailed analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Working closely with the project managers to monitor client revenue and regularly updating project revenue forecast for all active projects
• Training / supervising other staff in finance and developing their careers
• Overseeing Credit control
• Overseeing monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations and fixed asset register
• Actively contributing to the implementation & compliance of the Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements and managing annual SOX audit
• Overseeing preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Managing monthly payroll through outsourced payroll bureau (ADP)
• Pay & reconcile PAYE and NI contributions and monthly pension contributions
• Working closely with Finance Director handling auditors / audit process and assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts / tax packs
• Working knowledge of Cartesis and Concept would be an advantage for this position
